25 per cent Tobacco Excise Increase–Post-implementation Review–Treasury

On 29 April 2010, the then Prime Minister announced a one-off increase of 25 per cent to the excise and excise‑equivalent customs duty applying to tobacco products. Non-compliance with COAG best practice regulation requirements – Registration requirements for optometrists – Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council

On 27 April 2012, the Standing Council on Health meeting as the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council approved new general registration standards for optometrists. Currently, optometrists are not required to hold qualifications in ocular therapeutics to be registered.
